Welcome

Why the name Redeemer Bible Fellowship?  This choice was made due to the vast number of existing church names in the Orlando area, coupled with the desire to capture what is truly important in ministry:

Redeemer

Christ is the head of church (Eph. 4:16; Col. 1:18) and his substitutionary, redemptive work in his death, burial and resurrection is the initiating and foundational salvific influence in the church.  Therefore, the church was birthed and is sustained through the redemption of Christ (Eph. 2; 1 Pet. 2:4-10);

Bible

The God-breathed Scriptures are completely authoritative and sufficient pertaining to life and godliness (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:2-4).  In the Bible, God has also given us crystal clear direction regarding the proper purpose (Eph. 4:12-16) and conduct within the church (1 Tim.; 2 Tim.; Titus).  Without the Bible we would be lost in darkness, unable to find our way (Ps. 119:105).  Furthermore, a particular ministry is validated by God based on faithfulness to his Word and not any other standard of measure (1 Cor. 3-4; 1 Tim. 4:6-16);

Fellowship

Since the resurrection of Christ, the church is God’s primary focus and represents the assembly of “called out ones.”  However, a church which does not have fellowship with God and one another is not a healthy church (1 John 1:3).  Accordingly, fellowship was a fundamental component of the early church.  In fact, they were actually devoted to participating in one another’s lives (Acts 2:42);

Thus the name, Redeemer Bible Fellowship, represents what we desire to keep as our main focal points in ministry.
