How did Luke know that great grace was being poured out in Acts 4:33, since grace does not visibly fall from heaven like rain?  Grace was evident because all needs in the body were being met.  Those less fortunate were not being ignored because any who owned land or homes were selling them and then bringing the proceeds to the apostles’ feet.  This wasn’t about making sure everyone had equal income or possessions or housing.  Instead, there were obviously some wealthy people getting saved and being added to the church along with some poor folks and the wealthy weren’t about to live in abundance, while others in the body lacked the necessities of life.  What we are seeing here is Rom. 12 being played out–Rom. 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
