There are many ways to prepare ahead of time, but here are a few:
- praying for your own heart and the hearts of those in your family to be ready to interact with God’s word and God’s people;
- praying for those serving out in front and behind the scenes;
- praying for God to identify ways and people you may be able to serve;
- looking over the sermon passage and familiarize yourself with the context;
- lastly, and most relevant to this Hebrews text, consider how to specifically encourage certain individuals in the body.
